Books Should be Free includes downloadable public domain audio books in most genres for all age groups.

Children's Books Forever offers a selection of books for children written and illustrated by Hans Wilhelm.

The International Children's Digital Library has a large selection of carefully chosen books categorised by age, genre, etc. and moderated by librarians, translators, researchers and others.

Lit2Go is a project of the University of South Florida and consists of a large collection of children's books and poems in online audiobook format. Readability scales from K to Grade 12 assist in choosing a work.

Children's Books Online: The Rosetta Project includes a range of beautifully illustrated books arranged from total beginners to adult readers, and available to view online or download in various formats.
